If you’ve read my post How To: Make Your Own Ranch Dressing, then you know that I love salads, but I hate some of the salad dressing options the stores give you to top them. The majority of store-bought salad dressings on shelves today are full of additives and artificial ingredients that completely ruin your efforts to eat healthier.
This is another one of my favorite recipes for dressings because it’s so flavorful and it’s really easy to make. It’s also one of my husband’s favorite dressings, so it’s easy to whip up a batch and make the whole family happy.
The ingredients for this recipe are pretty simple, but as always, feel free to substitute them for other spices or similar ingredients of your choosing. For example, you can use white vinegar instead of apple cider vinegar. It will alter the taste, but you may find that you prefer a slightly different recipe. Try it for yourself today and let me know what you think!
Ingredients
- 1 cup organic ketchup
- 1 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp. liquid Stevia
- 1/2 tsp. organic yellow mustard
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 tsp. sea salt
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
Instructions
- Mix all of the ingredients together. (I prefer to use a blender to make sure everything is well combined).
- Taste and add more spices to your preference.
- Store in a glass jar in the refrigerator.
- Shake well before serving.
Tips: This is another versatile dressing you can use on salads, for dips, or as a marinade. Experiment by using it in other dishes and let me know what you come up with! I’m always excited to try new things!
