It was a success! He loved the way I cooked it and we both decided that it was so good for us that we are going to start incorporating it weekly into our dinner plans.
On a side note, my one-year-old also loved it! It’s the first time he’s had fish and he ate almost an entire salmon filet himself!
Honey Butter Garlic Salmon
Ingredients
- 3-4 frozen salmon filets, thawed
- 3 Tbs. butter
- 1 tsp. sea salt
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- 2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 Tbs. lemon juice
- 1 Tbs. honey
Instructions
- Start by heating a frying pan on medium heat.
- Spray with olive oil and lay the salmon filets in the pan.
- Sprinkle with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
- Add the butter to the pan and allow it to melt.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes and flip the filets.
- Cook the fish until they're opaque (I always test mine with a thermometer just in case - it should be 145F degrees)
- Remove the filets and set them on a plate.
- Add the lemon juice and "deglaze" the pan.
- Add the honey and mix the remaining juices together.
- Drizzle mixture over salmon and enjoy!
